Privacy at Vestir
Your wardrobe stays yours.
Vestir stores your account identity, avatar settings, style preferences, generated avatar and outfit images, manually entered wardrobe items and saved recommendations so the service can remain personal across sessions.
Secure account sign-in
Account sign-in and verification are handled by OpenAI's secure identity service. You can continue with Google or use the email verification options available on that sign-in screen. Vestir receives your verified email address and, when available, your display name. Vestir does not receive or store your password, one-time verification code or Google credentials.
No face scans or photo capture
Vestir does not ask for, capture or store face scans, selfies, wardrobe photographs or camera data. Your avatar is a synthetic image created only from features and proportions you select inside the app; it is not built from your likeness or a photo of you.
Generated avatar images
When you save your avatar, Vestir sends your selected appearance settings to OpenAI to create a full-body avatar image. When you choose to visualise a recommended outfit, the saved avatar image and that outfit's clothing description are processed to keep the same synthetic person while changing the clothes. Images are stored privately and are served only through a signed-in Vestir session.
Recommendation data
When you request a look, the occasion, venue, location, weather context and relevant wardrobe details are processed to create the recommendation. Public venue information may be searched when you provide a venue.
Vestir sends the styling context needed for a recommendation to OpenAI with application-state storage disabled. OpenAI may retain limited safety logs under its API data controls. Venue research is enabled only when you provide a named venue.
Vestir sends the city or general location you enter to Open-Meteo to retrieve a forecast. Open-Meteo may process request metadata under its own terms. Avoid entering a precise home address; a city or general area is enough.
Retention
Your profile remains until you delete the account. A wardrobe holds up to 200 pieces and Vestir retains the latest 24 recommendation sessions, automatically removing older ones. Saved recommendations contain a snapshot of the outfit and avatar settings used at the time, so removing one wardrobe item does not rewrite an older look. Outfit images tied to recommendations are removed when those recommendations are evicted, and account deletion removes the account's generated images.
Your control
You can edit your profile, remove wardrobe items and sign out at any time. The Account page inside Vestir lets you download a portable JSON export or permanently delete the profile, wardrobe, saved looks and messages linked to your account. You can also contact shayaanshah40@gmail.com.
Vestir provides styling suggestions, not guarantees about venue dress codes or weather. Always use your own judgement.
